4 Free IO Browser Games for a Short Break
A shrinking sumo ring, a vulnerable territory trail, a hungry hole or a gummy worm: choose the kind of round you have time for.
If you have half a minute, start with Sumo.io. If you want to keep one run going, try Turf.io, Wriggle.io or Gulp.io. These four PlayKovo games have small control sets, but losing means something different in each: being pushed into water, having a trail cut, crashing your head or getting swallowed.
Choose your first game
Sumo.io - Push Them Off
Shove your rivals off a shrinking sumo platform in this fast and funny .io brawler. Bump, dash and outsmart the crowd to be the last fighter standing, then spend your coins on hats and belts.
Oyna →Turf.io - Claim the Land
Draw a loop, close it and claim the land inside in this fast and addictive territory .io game. Cut your rivals' trails to knock them out, but never let them cut yours! Grow your turf and climb the leaderboard.
Oyna →Wriggle.io
Steer a gummy worm across a candy picnic table, gobble sprinkles to grow long, and trick rivals into crashing into your body. Quick rounds, bots always online, on mobile and desktop.
Oyna →Gulp.io
Become a hungry black hole, swallow the whole city and grow bigger and bigger. Gobble up smaller holes, escape the giants and climb to the top of the leaderboard in this fast .io arena game.
Oyna →Sumo.io: a round with a clear ending
You and nine rivals start on a wooden platform. It shrinks, leaving less room to avoid a shove, and the last fighter on it wins. Rounds are designed to last about half a minute. That makes Sumo.io the clearest choice here when you want to finish a round and leave.
The dash is powerful enough to create your own problem: miss a fighter near the edge and you may carry yourself toward the water. Begin from the roomier part of the platform and aim across it. On desktop, click, Space or Shift triggers the dash; on a phone, use the DASH button beside the movement joystick.
Turf.io: choose how much land to risk
Step outside your territory, draw a loop and return home to claim the area inside. Your trail remains vulnerable until you reconnect. A rival can end a promising run simply by crossing that exposed line. Pick Turf.io if the decision you enjoy is “one more stretch, or turn back now?”
Try a small loop beside your boundary before reaching for a large empty patch. It teaches you where you can reconnect and leaves less trail to protect. The menu does not pause the arena, so this is a game to finish before answering a message.
Wriggle.io: keep your head out of trouble
Your gummy worm grows by eating sprinkles. Other worms crash when their heads hit your body; you lose by sending your own head into another body or the table edge. Boost costs length. Use it when the extra speed gets you through a specific opening, then release it before the next turn.
Wriggle.io includes bots that keep the table populated. Choose it for steering and close calls rather than as a guarantee of human-only competition. Mouse movement steers on desktop, with left click or Space for boost. Phones use a joystick and BOOST button in landscape.
Gulp.io: find the next thing you can swallow
You begin as a small black hole in a city. Objects smaller than the hole drop inside and make it grow; eventually larger scenery becomes food. The on-screen hint tells you what size of object you can take next. Move through a cluster of objects that already fit instead of repeatedly trying one that is too large.
Bigger holes can swallow smaller holes, so a route full of food also needs an exit. Gulp.io has no fixed rounds: your run continues until you are swallowed. Pick it when you prefer gradual growth to a countdown. All four games play in the browser without an app installation; their first load still needs a network connection.
