Your rights as a developer
A plain-language summary of what you keep and what you control when you publish a game on PlayKovo.
This page exists so you don't have to dig through a Terms of Use page written for players to find out what happens to your game. It's a plain-language summary, not a legal document — the Submission rules page and general Terms of Use are what currently govern a submission.
What you keep, no matter what
You keep ownership
You retain full ownership of your game and every asset in it. Submitting to PlayKovo does not transfer copyright, trademark, or any other ownership to us — we only get the right to host and display it while it is published, nothing more.
Publishing is non-exclusive
You are free to publish, license, or sell the same game anywhere else — including on competing platforms — before, during, and after it is live on PlayKovo. We never ask for exclusivity.
You control visibility
You can ask us to unpublish your game from playkovo.com at any time, for any reason, through your Studio dashboard or by contacting us. This is your call, not ours.
Rejections come with a reason
If a submission is rejected, you get a specific reason so you can fix it and resubmit. Resubmitting costs nothing and does not count against you.
Review is consistent
Every submission goes through the same automated checks and human play-test, regardless of who you are or how big your studio is. See the full breakdown on the Submission rules page.
Mobile distribution needs your opt-in
Nothing you submit goes into the PlayKovo mobile app without your explicit, separate permission during submission. A browser-only listing is a valid choice.
Not live yet — said plainly
- ×A dedicated publisher agreement covering payout terms and revenue share is still being finalized — see the Submission rules page for what governs a submission today.
- ×Ads and revenue share for developer-submitted games are not active yet. No revenue is owed for periods before a live ad provider is connected to your game.
- ×Binding legal commitments (indemnification, governing law, dispute process) will ship with the finalized publisher agreement, not this page.
